The moment we sought a quote for our home renovation we were impressed with Murray’s knowledge, interest, engagement and communication. He described himself as ‘obsessional about the details’, and from the outset Murray made it clear all questions and queries were welcome. He coordinated all our trades, and importantly accompanied them on their initial quoting visits to ensure that there was clear understanding of the works required and of our aims and goals. His teams of trades provided us with high quality work and finishes, and most importantly he kept to timeline and to cost. During our project we required additional works involving landscaping which he was able to integrate into the schedule without fuss. He was even able to coordinate painters at last minute after our own contractor fell through.

In a previous project we had all sorts of problems with our builder, and are happy to say Murray and his team not only corrected some of those mistakes, but have also restored our faith in the building profession. We engaged Murray Tanner of Plumb Constructions to raise and build underneath our Queenslander cottage and we couldn’t be happier with both the end result and the process. We feel that we really lucked out in stumbling across Murray as our experience couldn’t have been more different. I engaged Murray Tanner of Plumb Constructions to renovate Stonewall Medical Centre in Windsor. It was a complex job as it involved joining two identical Queensland Cottages of different heights to make an expanded Medical Centre. We did the renovations while still operating as a Medical Centre with patients coming and going. There were multiple  Certification challenges with demands from the Fire Engineer, the Disability Access Consultant on top of standard building requirements for a Building to be used as a Clinic. Murray and his team rose to the occasion and did an exceptionally good job.

I really appreciated his accessible communication style to plan, prevent and adjust to challenges and difficulties that arose. He worked with us and our regular sessions worked well to solve the demands of the job of converting two old houses to a functional clinic that meets the demands of building and access codes in the year 2017.

Murray welcomed my creative input for building a connecting Bridge that is now admired by patients, visitors and passers bye. Each of his tradesmen, from Builders to Electricians, Plumbers, Airconditioning Technicians, Earthmovers, Cement form workers, Bricklayers, Painters and Engineers were excellent to work with. They were all professional, respectful, efficient and pleasant to work with. We enjoyed having them working in our space while juggling the operations of a clinic. The tradesmen had some challenging tasks to solve, like building Skylights around existing support beams. They were skillful and hard working.

Murray is good at planning for each stage of the process and working with us to be accommodating. He was clear about the responsibilities and the costing/ payment schedules and any issues that needed clarification were welcomed with easy communication that focused on solutions on each occasion. We feel like Murray is now our friend and we have built good trust in completing the project as a team.
